After KL, we travelled to Palau Redang…
Our hotel can only be reached by boat. It has a mountain and jungle behind it, so no roads. The hotel was ok – no hot water, electricity would be only on at certain times and dry as in “NO ALCOHOL” dry.
But, those little nuisances did not matter. Why? Because it was right on the powder white sand of a lovely beach, with crystal clear blue water and palm trees. The water was lovely and there was no surf. So, perfect for floating in and relaxing. Which is what we did. Relaxed, swam, read books, etc etc.
Also, the other thing that was good was that we made friends with Anj & Ziggy from the UK and Alex, Sue and Tiffany from KL. Spent the whole time when weren’t relaxing talking and chatting with them. We also went on a boat trip with Anj & Ziggy to snorkel on some of the reefs and visit other beaches. It was lots of fun.
